"Every now and then I design something that is not intended to be a super-speedy make... but the little bit of extra time spent on this is totally worth it. I have stated in the "You Will Need" section that you will require two half metres of fabric for the Zipped Make-Up Box, but this is generous to allow for fussy cutting. If you are using fabrics that don't need fussy cutting, then two long quarters should do the job. The finish on this make is something I am really rather proud of and I suspect it is likely to be a new favourite. I can't wait to see what you create..." - Natasha

To make this item, you will need:
  • 1/2m fabulous fabric for your box outer
  • 1/2m lining fabric
  • Standard heavy firm interfacing (Natasha recommends Hemline HN105) or fusible fleece interfacing (Vlieseline H640) for a softer finish
  • 13”of zip - either a 13" length of continuous zipper tape (and a zip pull!) OR a 12” ready made zip (which actually measures 13” end to end, it’s just the teeth that measure 12”)
  • 1/4” quilters' washaway tape
  • Co-ordinating thread
  • Basic sewing equipment

Postage and packing for UK residents is a set fixed rate of £4.95 (unless your order is over £150, which qualifies you for FREE shipping). We will always use the most appropriate service to get your parcels delivered to you as safely as we can.
