"Whenever I travel there are generally two things I need and often forget: my glasses and a nail file. Now I have matching pretty cases for both, so they can both go in my bag without damage. The technique for both these makes are the same. Use whichever template you need, but follow the same steps. I have used cork and a cotton fabric. If you are using two cotton fabrics, use an interfacing such as Vlieseline H640 fusible fleece, applied to the wrong side of one of your fabrics. I would recommend using template plastic for your templates, as this will be a make you sew again and again." - Natasha

You will need:

  • Sewable cork for the case outer*
  • Fabulous fabric for case lining*
  • Template plastic (optional)
  • Basic sewing equipment

    * For the sunglasses case, you will need one 7” x 7” square of cotton fabric and one 7” x 7” square of sewable cork.

    * For the nail file case, you will need a rectangle of sewable cork 8" x 3" and a rectangle of cotton fabric 8” x 3”.
