"I absolutely fell in love with these stunning handles, and they inspired the whole design of the bag - that delicate touch of gold adds just the right hint of elegance. This make is really versatile: you can raid your fabric stash and whip up a bag using whatever lost treasure you find there. For my sample bags, I have chosen to use a mix of waxed cotton and water-repellent technical fabrics, giving them durability and ensuring they are ready to handle a little Cornish rain." - Natasha

Instructions only: materials all available to purchase separately.

You will need:

  • ½m of fabric for the bag outer (Natasha used waxed cotton)
  • ½m lining fabric (Natasha used water-repellent fabric)
  • ½m of your preferred interfacing (Natasha used Vlieseline Style-Vil Fix fusible foam interfacing)
  • One pair of half moon bag handles with a minimum internal measurement of 4” along the straight edge
  • OPTIONAL: A rivet magnetic clasp
  • Co-ordinating thread
  • General sewing equipment
