Medium weight single sided fusible interfacing provides structure without excessive bulk, so is commonly used in dressmaking for details that require crisp definition but need to retain a touch of flexibility, such as button plackets, collars and cuffs; it is also frequently used by Natasha for bag and purse making and other craft projects. This is great for use on light to mid-weight fabrics like poplin, shirting, or cotton.
This interfacing is scatter-coated, so it features tiny, irregular adhesive granules scattered randomly across the surface rather than a solid sheet or uniform, machine-printed dots. This random distribution allows the interfacing to bond firmly to the fabric while preserving its natural drape and flexibility. As a result, the finished garment piece moves naturally and stays flexible instead of feeling completely rigid, stiff, or artificial.
