Jo Carter's exquisite soft toy designs have won her an army of fans. Be among the first to own Jo's latest creation, the Annie doll, launching today on Natasha Makes. This is a launch exclusive - you will not currently find the Annie doll anywhere else!
Jo says: "I’ve been wanting to create a rag-style doll for a while and the plan is to develop a range of clothing patterns to fit her too, so there will be lots of scope to play around and personalise her. This pattern has been the longest time in development of any of my designs and has the largest booklet. She is named Annie after my Great Grandma who was a really inspirational lady and a skilled sewist who passed her sewing enthusiasm down through the family."
The finished Annie Doll is 48cm (19in) tall
The kit contains:
- 20 page colour pattern booklet with full-size templates (inc. facial embroidery templates)
- Cotton Skin-tone fabric – 'Petal' (lighter) colour way. 'Toast' (darker) colour way available separately
- Plush hair fabric – choose from 4 different colours (Golden Blonde / Ginger Fizz / Dark Brown / Soft Black)
- Cream cotton fabric
- Printed Cotton Lawn
- Medium-weight fusible interfacing
- Embroidery skeins in Black and Pink
- Annie enamel pin badge (one from either of the 2 colour ways)
All you will need to add is a basic sewing kit, some toy stuffing and your own handiwork. Jo says additional handy pieces of kit to make these would be a water erasable pen, turning tools for the limbs, embroidery needles, marking tools for dark fabrics.
